BlackBerry Touch Monaco / Monza leaked pictures Storm in

New handset to be announced next

Since spilling the full contents of its 2011 roadmap back in February, Research in Motion has done a pretty good job of keeping a lid on the details of its forthcoming line-up.

Until now that is, as BGR has managed to nab some pictures of the BlackBerry Monza (or Monaco for the Verizon version) which looks like being the latest Storm-style handset - although the Storm name may well be dead. There is also a suggestion it might come to market as simply the BlackBerry Touch.

Confused? Don't be.

The Monza / Monaco / Storm 3 / Touch is said to have a 1.2GHz CPU, a 3.7-inch 800x400 display, and 768MB of RAM.

The touchscreen device also has a 5-megapixel camera with flash and can record 720p video. It'll be packing BlackBerry OS 6.1 (complete with the new BlackBerry ID system) and have NFC on board too.

It's expected that RIM will go live with all the leaked handsets at BlackBerry World in May. So stay tuned for updates.
